2003 is the South West Coast Path's Silver
Jubilee, and to mark this milestone there will be an exciting
programme of events and activities taking place in locations
along its entire length. The National Trust, together with many
other organisations, is joining in the celebrations with themed
walks and countryside activities. The Trust owns a staggering
one third of the land crossed by the 630 miles of coast path. Millions of people - both local residents and visitors - now enjoy the South West Coast Path every year; many go far a gentle stroll while a few tackle the epic end-to-end journey that takes them eight weeks to complete. This year's celebrations will provide the perfect opportunity to discover - or rediscover- the path's endless fascination. We have cottages on the Roseland and the Lizard which are ideal bases for walking the coastal path. The National Trust has organised the following events near us. Spring walks Dodman Point (Friday 16th May 2 pm also Friday 18th August 1-4 pm). and Messack Saturday 24th May. Nare Head 18th July 2-4.30 pm. Meet Trelissick car park - Flowers of the Fal Sunday 11th May 11am, Bats About Friday May 23rd 8 pm, A Step into the Past Saturday 11th June 11 am, Seashore Safari Sunday 15th June 11am, Earth Walk Saturday 6th July and . Autumn Almanac Sunday 12th October 11am and St Anthony Battery Guided tour Friday 22nd August 2pm.
