| about | This Bath hotel is slightly large for our purposes, but cannot be allowed to escape the net. The Queensberry Hotel, with its acclaimed restaurant The Olive Tree nestling below, is the lovingly conceived brainchild of Laurence and Helen Beere, who have chosen Bath as their home and as the base for their special creation. Laurence and Helen bought this discreet, quiet and beautifully decorated haven right in the centre of Bath in 2003. It has the advantage of a lift to all levels, which cuts down on confusion in the maze of stairwells, corridors and different levels resulting from the linking of three buildings. Despite the small-scale appearance of the hotel, the majority of the bedrooms are surprisingly spacious, and are kitted out to the highest standards of comfort and elegance . Originally commissioned as a residential home by its namesake, the 8th Marquess of Queensberry, the hotel is spread across four beautiful Georgian terrace buildings right near the centre of the Bath World Heritage Site.
