Owner Caron Cooper researched and presented her own programme on BBC2 in 1997 entitled Cooking with Confidence, and confidence underpins her every endevour, whether as cook, journalist, interior decorator, antique dealer or, as here at Fosse Farmhouse, hotelier. She has decorated it with some style, mostly à la française: the family room has a wonderful French pine bed, the sitting room could be in provincial Normandy, while the dining room has checked tablecloths, a plastercast frieze decorated with wine-coloured grapes and a definitely Gallic atmosphere.When it comes to cooking, though, Caron leaves behind French influences.
