Stuart and Rita Turner have succeeded in bringing life to an old Georgian building that remains faithful to its origins, but incorporates the modern touches we all crave; above all it is a very comfortable place to stay. A drawing room has been decorated in soft blue-greys and pink, with several large, pleasing oil paintings and an abundance of reading matter. The Georgian furniture is all in keeping. A well-stocked bar next door leads into a delightful conservatory and to a little courtyard with fountain beyond. The Casterbridge only offers bed and breakfast. The bedrooms are prettily decorated, with delightful wallpapers, good fabrics and pleasant bathrooms. Bedrooms in the modern annexe beyond the courtyard are equally comfortable but have less charm than those in the main building.
