Even the blank windows overlooking the car park have been painted with trompe l’oeil books and flowers, hinting at the visual treats in store for the visitor to Bloomfield House. The rounded hall, with hand-painted fresco of flowers and peacocks, positively confirms the initial impression that this is somewhere out of the ordinary. Bridget and Malcolm Cox bought Bloomfield House seven years ago from a talented producer of opera and his architect partner who had poured money and artistry into the Georgian building. The Coxes have wisely kept the grand interior they inherited - decorative paint finishes, French crystal chandeliers, superb heavy silk curtains - but they continue to update and add their own touches.TEL (01225) 420105 FAX (01225) 481954 |
